• Chinese White Tea (Bai Cha)

White tea (also known as "bai cha" in China) holds a unique position among China’s six major tea categories as the only type that is minimally processed without high heat. It is crafted through natural withering, optimally preserving abundant antioxidants and low caffeine content, yielding an exceptionally mild liquor. Based on tea cultivars and raw materials, white tea comprises four main types: Silver Needle (Baihao Yinzhen), White Peony (Baimudan), Shou Mei, and Gong Mei. Revered since the Tang Dynasty and praised in Lu Yu’s The Classic of Tea, white tea is a treasured gem of Chinese tea culture.

Our Chinese white tea collection includes traditional loose-leaf white teas and compressed white tea cakes, featuring both Fuding white tea—the origin of white tea—and innovative Yunnan white tea. Both are prized for their richer aroma and flavor, enhanced through aging. Aged white teas that have undergone years of natural maturation are especially beloved by Chinese tea enthusiasts.
