Da Hong Pao Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea

$46.00

Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea (Big Red Robe Oolong Tea) is known as the "King of Tea" and comes from the famous Wuyi Mountain in northern Fujian, China. With a tea-making history dating back to the Han Dynasty, this region has played a pivotal role in shaping Chinese tea culture. Over centuries, tea-drinking traditions and production techniques have evolved into the modern brewing methods and loose-leaf tea styles we enjoy today.

Da Hong Pao Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea – A renowned Wuyi Yancha with rich roasted aroma and mineral notes. Grown in Fujian’s Wuyi mountains, this oolong delivers complex, smooth flavor, perfect for Gongfu brewing and oolong lovers.

Wuyi Mountain is renowned for its distinctive rock teas (yancha), crafted from tea trees that thrive in rocky crevices. Da Hong Pao is one of the most iconic varieties, offering a flavor that blends the richness of black tea with the freshness of green tea. It’s celebrated for its distinctive “rocky undertone” and smooth, lingering finish.

Harvested in the spring of 2019, this Da Hong Pao Wuyi Rock Oolong Tea was handcrafted using traditional methods to bring out the bold, rich flavors and aromas for which rock tea is renowned.

After six years of expert storage, with precise humidity and temperature control, regular ventilation, and multiple rounds of low-temperature roasting, this tea has become even smoother and more full-bodied. Its well-preserved flavor makes it perfect for tea lovers looking to experience the authentic taste of aged Wuyi rock tea.
