Watch the Gongfu brewing of our Taiwanese variety Fujian High Mountain Oolong Tea

This High Mountain Oolong Tea Sample is crafted from Taiwanese high mountain tea plant varieties, cultivated in the pristine, high-altitude mountains of Zhangping, Fujian, at an elevation of 900 meters.

Characteristics

  • In 2001, tea master Chen Kun and his wife, originally from Nantou County, Taiwan, introduced the Alishan tea plant variety to mainland China. After five years of exploration across regions such as Yunnan and Fujian, they discovered that the high-altitude mountains of Zhangping provided the ideal environment for cultivation.
  • Organic farming methods are employed to preserve the tea's purity and ensure exceptional quality.
  • By blending traditional Tieguanyin processing techniques with the unique characteristics of high mountain tea, this tea is meticulously crafted into a distinctive, semi-ball-shaped Baozhong.
  • The tea leaves are thick, plump, and glossy, with a rich, deep green hue that reflects their premium quality.
  • Exceptionally durable, the tea can be steeped 8–10 times, with each infusion retaining its delicate flavor and captivating aroma.
  • Rich in antioxidants, this tea promotes overall health and well-being.

Flavor

  • When brewed, it releases an elegant floral aroma that is both refined and long-lasting.
  • The tea offers a fresh, clean taste with a natural sweetness, delivering a smooth and refreshing flavor.
  • It leaves a lingering sweet aftertaste, with each infusion showcasing its unique, delicate flavor and fragrance, creating a rich, multi-layered experience.
