Characteristics
- Its history dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, with a legend stating it earned the name "Big Red Robe" after curing a top scholar (Zhuangyuan).
- The unique geographical environment of Wuyi Mountain, including its Danxia landforms and lush vegetation, provides ideal natural conditions for the growth of Da Hong Pao.
- Mineral-rich soil imparts its distinctive "rock essence," which is why it is also known as Wuyi Rock Tea.
- The dry leaves are dark green.
