Watch: Gongfu Brewing of Our Tie Guan Yin Oolong – High-Grade

These high-grade Tie Guan Yin Gongfu Tea Sachets contain a distinctive loose-leaf oolong tea (also known as wulong cha), sourced directly from Anxi, Fujian, and recognized as one of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas.

Tea Origins and History

The origins of this tea date back to the period between 1725 and 1735, when a tea farmer in Anxi developed the Tie Guan Yin variety. The name "Tieguanyin" refers to both this specific tea and the tea plant variety itself.

The Art of Brewing: High Mountain and Flowing Water

With the rise of Gongfu Cha art, a unique Anxi tea culture emerged. A key brewing technique for Tie Guan Yin is “High Mountain and Flowing Water,” where boiling water is gently poured along the wall of the teapot, causing the leaves to swirl and fully release their aroma and flavor.

Directly Sourced & Precisely Portioned

To allow Gongfu tea lovers to enjoy this authentic taste anywhere, the Chinese Tea Group makes annual journeys to Anxi to hand-pick high-grade Tie Guan Yin. The tea is then packaged individually, each portion containing the traditional 7-gram serving, becoming a signature product in our Tea Sachets series.

Designed for Convenience and Freshness

This packaging ensures convenient storage and portability, while protecting the leaves from absorbing external odors and moisture. Each sachet is designed for one complete Gongfu tea brewing session, delivering the full aromatic profile and layered taste.
