Watch: Gongfu Brewing of Our Wuyi Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea - Zheng Yan

Located in southeastern China’s Fujian Province, the Wuyi Mountains are the birthplace of legendary rock teas such as Da Hong Pao and other premium loose-leaf oolongs.

Surrounded by mist-shrouded peaks, this region’s unique climate and geology nurture teas celebrated for their “rock essence and floral fragrance.”

Sourcing – Zheng Yan Core Area

These Da Hong Pao Gongfu Tea Sachets are sourced from the “Zhengyan” core area of Wuyi Mountain, a roughly 70-square-kilometer region within a protected natural reserve.

Renowned for its Danxia landforms and weathered rocky soils rich in potassium and manganese, this terrain—with its well-draining, slightly acidic soil—imparts the tea trees with a distinctive “rock charm.”

The liquor is full-bodied and smooth, with floral notes interwoven with mineral aromas, exemplifying the signature flavor profile of authentic Wuyi rock tea.

Chinese Tea Bags – Convenient & Authentic

The Tea Sachets series from Chinese Tea Group features convenient 8-gram packets, each pre-portioned with whole-leaf tea for authentic Gongfu tea (cha) brewing.

This ensures the tea’s flavors are fully released.

These individually packaged sachets make it easy to brew a full Gongfu tea experience anytime, anywhere.

Flavor & Brewing

As a high-temperature charcoal-roasted oolong, Da Hong Pao Tea reveals its classic flavor and profound depth best when brewed using the traditional Gongfu tea method.

The Terroir Speaks Through Every Leaf

Know Where Your Tea Comes From

Origin isn’t just a label — it’s the soul of the tea.

It is the land and the tea trees tended by generations of tea farmers, a living heritage passed down through time in harmony with nature.

Achieving Authenticity Through Tradition

Traditional craftsmanship cannot scale to mass production.

We honor this authentic essence, preserving every genuine step.
We could produce more tea, but we choose to craft better.
