Watch: Gongfu Brewing of Our Chinese Green Tea – AAA Grade

These AAA Grade Chinese Loose-Leaf Green Tea Sachets are crafted using a unique high-temperature roasting process, making them especially suited for Gongfu-style brewing.

Origin and Unique Processing

Sourced from the Chaozhou region of Guangdong, this rare local green tea stands apart from most green teas on the market, which tend to retain more moisture and are best brewed at lower temperatures.

Using traditional high-heat roasting combined with repeated roasting and resting techniques inspired by oolong tea, the tea’s natural compounds undergo controlled transformations, such as Maillard reactions, enhancing its aroma, sweetness, and overall flavor profile.

Brewing and Tasting Notes

The abundant release of compounds such as caffeine and amino acids gives this tea a noticeable energizing effect.

  • Best enjoyed during the day.
  • It is recommended to avoid drinking it before bedtime.

Flavor and Steeping Potential

This careful roasting process produces a rich, full-bodied taste and excellent re-steeping potential—up to ten infusions using the Gongfu method.

  • Brings out delightful caramel and nutty notes.
  • Improves storage stability, allowing the tea to become smoother and more mellow over time.
  • Skillfully balances the grassy freshness of green tea with a unique roasted aroma.
  • Offers long-lasting sweetness and a flavor profile distinctly different from ordinary green teas.

Product Specifications and Quality Assurance

  • Each tea sachet weighs 5 g, the standard portion for authentic Gongfu brewing.
  • Individually packed, these single-serve tea bags are convenient for Gongfu tea preparation and tasting.

Thanks to the exceptional quality of Chinese Green Tea Gongfu Sachets, this tea has been recognized over years of operation at our Chinese Tea Group teahouse, where tea masters and seasoned customers have rated it as “AAA Grade”—a mark of premium quality within this series.

We share this information transparently to respect our customers’ right to know.
