The Terroir Speaks Through Every Leaf
Experience the essence of Mei Zi Qing with this 2024 Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake Sample (25g). Carefully hand-pried from premium blended maocha sourced at approximately 1,900 meters in Yunnan, it offers an accessible way to explore this village-level micro-origin before committing to a full cake.
Each sample is drawn from a limited selection of ancient and large arbor tea trees, reflecting the natural terroir of Mei Zi Qing. Although the material is wild-grown and minimally managed, this blend is designed to provide a balanced expression of the 2024 harvest.
Even in a 25g sample, the signature plum aroma is immediately noticeable, followed by soft candied fruit sweetness. The liquor is smooth and gently sweet, with a light astringency that fades quickly. Each sip reflects the cool, high-altitude mountain character typical of Mei Zi Qing.
Through our Chinese tea tasting sample series, you can easily experience the natural purity and distinctive identity of this micro-origin. It highlights the tea’s low-intervention, wild cultivation style, offering a gentle introduction to its “mountain hermit” character, which gradually unfolds in complexity across multiple infusions.
(Traditional Method)
Always rinse tea before the first infusion. For compressed teas, adjust the rinsing time according to the compression level, allowing the leaves to gently loosen before the first infusion.
