Chinese green tea has a long history and is one of the oldest types of tea in the world.

Yunnan Green Tea

Also Called Dian Green

Notably, Yunnan green tea, also called Dian Green (Lv, meaning "green" in Chinese), is mainly presented in loose-leaf form. It is carefully crafted from the region’s native large-leaf tea trees.

Unique Large-Leaf Tea Trees

These same large-leaf trees are also used to make Pu-erh tea. They are famous for:

  • Thick, nutrient-rich leaves
  • Strong adaptability

They thrive in Yunnan’s exceptional natural environment:

  • High altitudes
  • Mild climate
  • Abundant rainfall
  • Fertile soil

This environment helps the trees develop the unique character and individuality that make Yunnan teas so prized.

Traditional Processing Methods

Yunnan green tea is pan-fired, while raw Pu-erh is usually sun-dried. Though they come from the same trees, these two teas have very different flavors because of their unique processing methods.

Appearance, Aroma & Taste

Our Yunnan Green Tea offers:

  • Broad, sturdy leaves with a robust yet refined look
  • A distinctive floral aroma that grows more pronounced once brewed
  • Clear, bright liquor

The taste is fresh, smooth, and delicate, with a quick yet lingering sweetness—fully expressing the rich, full-bodied character of large-leaf Yunnan green tea.
