Close-up of Tangerine Pu-erh Tea (Xiao Qing Gan) details

Tangerine Pu-erh Tea Sample (Xiao Qing Gan) - 2024 is a traditional Chinese blended tea, carefully crafted from small green tangerine peels harvested in Xinhui, Guangdong, and ripe Pu-erh tea from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan.

Characteristics

  • This blended tea is highly popular in China, celebrated for its unique fusion of citrus and Puerh flavors.
  • Specially crafted for tea lovers who enjoy a light and delicate flavor profile.
  • The tangerine peels are sourced from Tianma Village in Xinhui, Guangdong, renowned as the "hometown of Chenpi" in China. At the same time, the ripe Puerh is selected from Xishuangbanna, home to some of Yunnan's finest Puerh teas.
  • By using different brewing methods, you can explore a range of flavor profiles:
  1. Steep the outer tangerine peel for a light citrus aroma.
  2. Brew directly inside the green and orange for a balanced medium flavor.
  3. Break the entire peel and brew for a rich and intense Puerh experience.
  • Over time, a natural white frost may appear on the surface of the green and orange. This is caused by essential oils seeping from the peel and is a hallmark of high-quality Chenpi tea.

Flavor

  • This tea offers a delicate citrus aroma that harmonizes beautifully with the rich fragrance of ripe Puerh tea, delivering a fresh taste.
  • The tea soup is full-bodied and smooth, with a perfectly balanced texture that leaves a lingering Chenpi Puerh aroma and a comforting finish.
