This premium Ya Shi Xiang Dan Cong Oolong Tea—also known in English as Duck Shit Aroma—originates from Phoenix Mountain in Chaozhou, a region with over 900 years of tea-making history.
Named after its place of origin and the tea trees themselves, it is known in China as “Feng Huang Dan Cong” (Phoenix Dan Cong), a treasured member of the Oolong tea family.
Among the many varieties of Phoenix Dan Cong, Ya Shi Xiang (Duck Shit Aroma) stands out for its unique name, inspired by an interesting historical tale, and its rich, captivating aroma. For centuries, it has earned the nickname “Perfume of Tea.”
Our high-end Ya Shi Xiang Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Tea is harvested every spring from Wudong Village on Phoenix Mountain, at an altitude of over 1,200 meters. This area is recognized as the finest production region in the entire Phoenix Mountain range.
The tea trees grow slowly in misty, dew-kissed, and gently sunlit conditions, producing the rare and distinctive High Mountain Mist Tea.
For more than a decade, the Chinese Tea Group has partnered with two farmers in Wudong Village to produce approximately 60 kilograms of pesticide-free tea each year. Every leaf is handcrafted using traditional methods and sold directly, ensuring authenticity and quality.
The thick, uniform leaves of Ya Shi Xiang Dan Cong Oolong Tea (Duck Shit Aroma) - 2024 Premium embody the qualities of top-grade loose-leaf Oolong, making it a favorite among seasoned tea connoisseurs in our traditional tea house.
