Renowned for its high-quality tea, this region plays a vital role in China's tea culture, particularly in preserving and promoting the Gong Fu tea ceremony. In the Chaozhou dialect, 'Gong Fu' closely resembles 'Kung Fu,' symbolizing precision, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail in both the art of tea-making and brewing.
