The Terroir Speaks Through Every Leaf
This 2018 Raw Pu-erh Mini Tea Cake comes from broad-leaf tea trees grown in Yunnan. Unlike traditional 357g tea cakes, it is handcrafted into charming mini cakes. Each weighs approximately 10 grams—small, delicate, and elegant.
Our tea masters originally sourced this batch of raw Pu-erh leaves from a small, family-run garden in a remote mountainous area of Xishuangbanna.
At that time, the leaves were still in their most original form—mao cha (unpressed loose raw leaves).
The mao cha was carefully wok-fired with precise heat control to thoroughly remove grassy bitterness.
Upon first tasting, the liquor is lively and vibrant, with rich wild mountain aroma. It has a well-balanced flavor and a sweet, lingering finish, demonstrating excellent aging potential.
Chinese Tea Group acquired a total of 70 kilograms of this raw Pu-erh material.
Initially, the tea was slightly astringent, and the liquor lacked roundness. The leaves were quietly stored in the tea garden’s warehouse, allowing them to naturally age and gradually complete their first stage of transformation.
In 2021, this tea was handcrafted into mini tea cakes about 4 cm in diameter, each weighing around 10 grams.
The cakes are unwrapped, perfectly reflecting the true essence of time and mountain terroir.
Now, after seven years of aging, our Raw Pu-erh Mini Tea Cake (2018 Aged, Yunnan Exclusive) has shed its initial astringency and fully matured.
It has successfully passed through the common 3–5 year “awkward phase,” during which many Pu-erh teas lose their aroma and flavor. Today, the liquor is strong yet mellow, rich in taste, and complemented by delicate floral and fruity notes.
Each mini tea cake features a special groove in the center. This allows tea lovers who prefer a lighter taste to brew one cake in two separate infusions.
This design makes it easy to control the strength of the liquor and enjoy layered flavor variations.

The Terroir Speaks Through Every Leaf
Origin isn’t just a label — it’s the soul of the tea.
It is the land and the tea trees tended by generations of tea farmers, a living heritage passed down through time in harmony with nature.
Traditional craftsmanship cannot scale to mass production.
We honor this authentic essence, preserving every genuine step.
We could produce more tea, but we choose to craft better.
