Chinese Ceramic Gong Fu Tea Cup

Ru Kiln originated during the Northern Song Dynasty, renowned for its soft glaze and fine texture, earning the favor of the royal family. It is considered one of the "Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty." Ru Kiln porcelain uses precious natural mineral glazes, fired at high temperatures to create a unique sky-blue glaze. Due to the high difficulty in production and low yield, Ru Kiln porcelain is extremely rare and valuable.

Our Ru Kiln Gong fu tea cup features eight evenly distributed petal-shaped waves along the rim, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and comfortable grip. It comes from the New Ru Kiln Studio and is crafted using traditional Ru Kiln techniques.

The eight-petal design in Chinese culture often symbolizes good fortune and prosperity. The number "eight" is phonetically similar to "prosper" in Chinese, signifying luck and wealth.
